About the Event

The Survival Scholars Puppet Party Resilient Warrior Camp helps to build resilience in children using Puppetry, Art, Poetry

The camp is designed to empower children through education with Puppets using real-life social stories.

Children ages 8 to 12 years skills will be developed not only with the ability to bounce back amidst difficulty but to also achieve despite any adversity.

The topics that will be covered include:

Introduction to Resilience

Self-identity and self-love

Goal setting and vision creation

Effort and Responsibility

Coping with changes and Challenges

Creative Self-Expression and My Community

Practicing Optimism and Perspective Taking

All these topics help to grow and build children who are able to cope in a healthy, positive and productive manner.

Each session will be taught by Dawsher Charles the Resilient Warrior who was able to overcome many obstacles that came her way in school and life in order to be successful.  She will also be sharing her story with children as a means to inspire and encourage them to believe that they too can develop their resilience to become Resilient Warriors. Dawsher has a degree and is an Educational Economist who has completed numerous child care development courses such as Play Therapy, Counselling Children and Youth, Grief Counselling and so much more.  She has over 5 years of experience with children and youth through giving lessons, youth groups, coordinating camps and through her speaking engagements with youths.  Dawsher enjoys and is excited about this camp because she knows that it is her purpose to empower children to get through difficulties while thriving and advancing themselves like she learned to do while going to school.  We also have specially invited guests who will join us which will be shared on our social media so keep updated with us.

Our camp is different from other camps because your child gets to make puppets to do their own performances using the skills they learn in our camp. They will engage in various games and artistic activities that will help them to learn the information in a more engaging and entertaining approach.

Your child will benefit from skills that will not only improve their school performance but also help them to be ready to face any changes or challenges with courage and confidence. You as a parent will benefit because you'd spend less time nagging your child to do the things they are required to do for school and at home

The investment is $275

Each day, children will be entertained, engaged and educated using puppets bringing real-life stores for them to learn from.  Our Resilient warriors camp is a great camp to get your child in the groove for the reopening of school.

Activity sheets and materials will be provided for your child to use during the camp and ave afterward to remember what they learned.
