About the Event

The Survival Scholars Puppet Party Resilient Warrior Camp is a 5-day camp that helps to build resilience in children using Puppetry.

The camp is designed to empower children through education with Puppets using real-life social stories.

Children ages 8 to 12 years old skills will be developed not only with the ability to bounce back amidst difficulty but to also advance themselves despite adversity.

The topics that will be covered include:

Self-identity and self-love

Goal setting and vision creation

Emotional Intelligence

Coping Strategies and Creative Self-Expression

Practicing Optimism

All these topics help to grow and build children who are able to cope in a healthy, positive and productive manner.

Each session will be taught by Dawsher Charles the Resilient Warrior who was able to overcome many obstacles that came her way in life in order to be successful.  She will also be sharing her story with children as a means to inspire and encourage them to believe that they too can develop their resilience to become Resilient warriors. Dawsher has a degree and is an Educational Economist who has completed numerous child care development courses such as Play Therapy, Counselling Children and Youth, Grief Counselling and so much more.  She has over 5 years of experience with children and youth through giving lessons, youth groups, coordinating camps and through her speaking engagements with youths.  Dawsher enjoys and is excited about this camp because she knows that it is her purpose to help children to get through difficulties while thriving and advancing themselves like she learned to do while going to school.   Additionally, Dawsher will be accompanied by her co-presenter Mr. Kareem Ryce also known as Split Mind who is a singer, songwriter and recording artiste.  Kareem Ryce is an L.A records certified audio engineer and an advocate for mental health.  Mr. Ryce is the vice president and a mentor at the Jim Greaves Inter-generational Achievement Association.  Students from the Survival Scholars Support System namely Ahkma Regis and Abijah Baptiste will also join in on the fun to ensure that the children have an awesome experience.

Each day, children will be entertained, engaged and educated using puppets bringing real-life stores for them to learn from.

Worksheets and materials will be provided as well.

Call or Whatsapp 868-369-7522 or sign up to join your child now.  Limited spaces available
